Being resilient refers to our capacity to recover quickly from difficulties or obstacles that come our way. The more I age, the more I realize that many of the obstacles I experience originate in my limited thinking or lack of belief in myself and/or my abilities.
When I catch these culprits and dig deeper into their source I begin to understand that these beliefs come about earlier in life in an attempt to be helpful for my survival or protection.
Once understood, I thank it for doing its job and then proceed to re-write the “job” description to a new and improved belief that better serves me and the greater good of all that I do.
This Month
Like babies learning to walk, this month’s mandala encourages us to stand back up each time we fall, dust ourselves off, assess what we learned, and then proceed with a new-and-improved plan of action.
Persistence and resilience only come from having been given the chance to work though difficult problems. ~ Gever Tulley
Ponder this while coloring this month’s mandala.
Happy Coloring!
