A Journey From Illusion to Wholeness

7: The Inner Spark — Lessons 182-211

There’s a quiet light within each of us — steady, peaceful, and whole. The ego tries to cover that light with fear, judgment, and striving. But our inner light never goes out; it simply waits for our willingness to remember. This month we’re encouraged to focus on our Inner Spark.

Here are some simple ways we can bypass the ego and reconnect with our true light — our calm, loving center.

  1. When tension, irritation, or judgment arise, take a slow breath and say: “I choose peace instead of this.” We don’t have to fix anything. We’re simply choosing to shift from fear to peace — and in that moment, we’ve already invited a miracle.]
  2. When a self-critical thought appears, notice it gently and say: “Ah, that’s the ego talking.” No need to push it away. Just witness it with kindness. The part of us that notices is our true self — calm, aware, and untouched by judgment.
  3. When we feel separate, jealous, or defensive, silently say: “May you be blessed. May I remember we are one.” Blessing others dissolves the ego’s walls and reminds us of our shared light.
  4. We can close our eyes and imagine a soft light glowing in our heart. With each inhale, let it grow brighter. With each exhale, let it gently extend — to our body, to the room, to everyone, everywhere. Our light grows stronger every time we remember it’s there.
  5. At the end of the day, bring to mind one person or situation that still feels heavy. Say quietly: “I release you to your light, and I return to mine.” Forgiveness frees both of us from the ego’s story and opens the way for peace to return.
  6. When we catch ourselves trying too hard to “get it right,” pause and breathe. Whisper: I rest in God (peace, love, the Divine, Source, etc).” The ego believes we must strive for love. The truth is, we are already held in it.
  7. Look at someone — a friend, a stranger, even someone difficult — and silently affirm: “The light in me recognizes the light in you.” Every time we choose to see the light in another, we strengthen the remembrance of our own.

The light we seek is already within us. Each moment we choose peace, forgiveness, or gentle awareness, we lift the veil of the ego and let that light shine through — quietly, naturally, effortlessly.

Peace & Blessings,

About the 2026 Mandalas of the Month

This year it’s all things “A Course in Miracles” with “Peace” as its overarching theme. Each month we’ll focus on the overall message from the daily lessons for that month. All of which has the potential to bring us from illusion to wholeness.

Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
