A Journey From Illusion to Wholeness
8: You Are Not the Goo — Lessons 212-240
This month we’re reminded of the lesson: “I am not a body. I am free.” As part of this year-long process, we’re essentially transcending form and releasing our identity tightness. We’re encouraged to examine the variety of labels and identities we wear, most of the time without even realizing it and the majority of the time completely unaware that these identities control us and our behavior.
How do we go about examining our identities ? It starts with noticing the words we use after “I am”. For instance, if we find ourselves saying “I am always late”…guess what, our subconscious mind “hears” that and proceeds to make that our identity from this day forward. As if to say “Oh…she says she’s always late, then let’s make sure she’s always late.”
If we find ourselves saying something like “I am afraid to speak up”, then our subconscious makes that a reality for us and we find ourselves in more situations where “we’re afraid to speak up”. If we find ourselves saying something like “I am clumsy”, then that becomes our identity.
Those are just some simple examples to get us started. We’re encouraged to expand even more into who we are beyond our bodies, that at our core we are consciousness having an experience in human form. From this space we gain a greater perspective of our true identity.
Peace & Blessings,
Maureen

About the 2026 Mandalas of the Month
This year it’s all things “A Course in Miracles” with “Peace” as its overarching theme. Each month we’ll focus on the overall message from the daily lessons for that month. All of which has the potential to bring us from illusion to wholeness.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.— ACIM.org
