“Today is your day to
— Jonathan Lockwood Huie
dance lightly with life,
sing wild songs of adventure,
soar your spirit,
unfurl your joy.”
“You’ll be on your way up!
— Dr. Seuss
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights.”
“Let your mind start a journey
— Erich Fromm
through a strange new world.
Leave all thoughts of the world
you knew before.
Let your soul take you
where you long to be.
Close your eyes,
let your spirit start to soar,
and you’ll live
as you’ve never lived before.”
This month’s MotM encourages us to come out of our shell (cocoon, comfort zone, etc) and soar like the ones we are meant to be. Our challenge becomes facing our fear, thanking it for sharing, and moving forward anyway.
For the fourth (or fifth) time this year, I’m inspired to share this again:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
— Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of “A Course in Miracles”
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Blessings,
Maureen
