Exploring the Spiritual Path of the 12 Steps

Step 2: Hope

With this step we realize that we don’t have to go it alone. Amidst the chaos, pain, and suffering we have access to a Power greater than ourselves to help us.

This Power can be whatever we choose it to be. It could be the collective Power of humanity…those around us who support us and want to help us along our journey in whatever form that takes (meetings, books, retreats, and so on).

Or the Power could be a universal consciousness that permeates all things and can go by any number of names: “God”, “Mother Mary”, “Mother Nature”, “Angels”, “Universe”, “Source”, etc…it’s our choice to pick whatever resonates best for us.

Essentially, it’s about knowing that there’s a ”Power” greater than ourselves that can restore us to peace and sanity…if we’re willing to embrace it.

Feel free to color this mandala as many times as you need.

If you are part of a 12-Step program, you’re welcome to share this post and mandala with whomever you think would benefit.

About the 2025 Mandalas of the Month

Each month this year I will create and post a mandala to color as it relates to one of the 12 Steps of recovery…with a more metaphysical interpretation. Regardless of whether we have any addictions or not, let’s face it…we’re all in recovery from something. More importantly, we’re all needing/wanting to heal from our fears and limiting beliefs so that we can all live to and become our full potential.

This along with the “Mandalas of the Day/Week/Year”…tie into my overall theme for 2025: “Let There Be Peace”.

My Mission: connecting with our Inner Light in delightful, inspiring ways For me, creating mandalas is more than just coloring pretty patterns in a circle. I do it because my spiritual evolution and creativity require it of me. My mandala designs come about within an active meditative state, connected with my higher self, my spiritual guides and nature spirits. Together, we bring into form, mandala art the allows me to re-connect with my own inner peace and joy, letting me explore and expand my own creative spirit to however far and in whatever direction I want to take it. As part of my own spiritual journey, I encourage, and hopefully inspire, others to explore their own creativity, to help them re-connect with their own inner peace and joy. As a means to that end, I make all of my mandalas available for people to color. Why should I have all the fun?
